Come Home to Your Body
Guided mobility, assisted stretching, yoga, and restorative movement for people carrying a lot. I help caregivers, professionals, artists, and everyday humans reduce stiffness, move with more ease, and reconnect with themselves. Located in Potsdam, NY. What You Can Expect From Assisted Stretch Assisted stretching is a mobility session designed to help improve flexibility, range of motion, and overall movement quality. Each session can take different directions depending on your goals. Based on what you hope to achieve, along with any injuries, limitations, or areas of concern, your body will be guided through controlled stretches and supported movement patterns. This practice helps you access positions that may be difficult to reach on your own. The first session is focused on discovery—exploring commonly restricted areas, identifying where your body holds excess tension or limited mobility, and creating a plan to support better movement going forward. What You Can Expect From Yoga Classes Expect thoughtful, breath-centered movement that supports both strength and softness. I love exploring the relationship between mobility and stability, and weaving in playful, intuitive transitions. My classes are open to all levels, and I aim to create a space where everyone feels welcome—where there’s room for challenge, rest, exploration, and self-compassion. In-Person Offerings at Bluebird Collective Wellness Studio in Potsdam, NY About Me: I grew up exploring all kinds of movement: soccer, dance, hiking, and anything else that got me into my body. But it wasn’t until I stepped into a yoga class that I started to feel deeply connected to myself—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. There was something about the breath, the rhythm, the challenge, and the clarity I felt afterward that kept me coming back to yoga. Over time, yoga became the anchor I return to through life’s transitions—a place to explore, soften, strengthen, and reflect. Since completing the 200-hour Kripalu Vinyasa certification program in 2018 (teachers: Yoganand Michael Carroll, Erica Arce, and Coby Kozlowski) I have taught over 2,000 hours of classes. I am a certified kid’s yoga teacher (Rainbow Yoga Kids) and have an advanced certificate in Freestyle Therapeutics Mat-Based Therapy (teacher: Wymberley Pfalmer). Whether on the body-work mat or yoga mat, my practice is rooted in the care-based process of returning to the wisdom of the body and learning how to listen, again and again. I guide through breathwork, postural sequences, and attention to alignment, often with the question in mind: How can this practice help us build unity within ourselves, our communities, and the world around us? |
